Jakob award for the ‘Open kitchen’

At the official opening of the Alpe-Adria: Tourism and Leisure Show, the central tourist event in the Alpe-Adria region, attended by renowned representatives from Slovenia and abroad, Jakob award was granted. The award got its name after the pilgrim Jacob who symbolizes the first tourist traveller.

President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor visited the fair Alpe–Adria: Tourism and Leisure Show at the GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre late this afternoon. The event is the biggest fair-type promotion of tourism in Slovenia as well as in the Alpe-Adria region.

Press Release: Press Conference, GR-Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre, 16 January 2014

At the GR-Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (GR) press conference two events from the 2014 events calendar were presented: Vino Ljubljana and the central tourist fair in the region, Alpe-Adria: Tourism and Leisure Show, which will take place from 29 January to 1 February. The honorary sponsor of the fair is the Ministry for Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia.
