Alpe-Adria: rich experience of multiple pleasures, tastes and scents

Last night, the doors of the Alpe-Adria: Tourism and Leisure Show and the Boat Show officially closed. The Tourism Show, titled the Alpe-Adria Show since last year, is the official tourist event of the Alps-Adriatic region, which incorporates 10 individual regions of Austria, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia.

The Show is lively, tasty and entertaining

Until Sunday, GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre is hosting one of the most lively and varied fairs in Slovenia. Novelty of the Show – Gastronomy and Wine

The most significant novelty of this year’s Alpe-Adria Show is the emphasis on gastronomy and wine. Within the framework of the Show, an International Competition of Chefs from South Eastern Europe will take place in front of a live audience of visitors, while Slovenian winemakers will also present themselves.

The Show is the only fair within the AA region, which presents the tourist offer to the public organized by destinations from which the exhibitors originate, and by products of the exhibition programme.

Prize Naša Slovenija for Villa Bianca

The City Municipality of Velenje received the prize Naša Slovenija for its reconstruction of Villa Bianca. The prize is awarded to individuals, associations and informal civil initiatives for their endeavours in preserving Slovenian cultural heritage, landscape and the foundations of Slovenian visibility within the entire Slovenian cultural and ethical space.
